AFTER a cold and snowy day across most parts of the Black Country and North Worcestershire yesterday, today is expected to see much of the same.
The Met Office has issued an amber weather warning due to the wind and snow until 8am today, but a yellow warning will still be in place for snow and ice until 11.55pm this evening.
This morning will see further outbreaks of sleet and snow steadily edge northwards, with temperatures are expected to be around the -1°C mark.
The brightest conditions will be in the north, where it will be drier, but it will remain windy and bitterly cold for all. Temperatures will struggle to rise above freezing for many, reaching highs of -0.5°C.
It will be a cold and windy night with further outbreaks of sleet and snow across all areas, possibly bringing further accumulations in places. Minimum temperatures of -5°C are expected.
