GOOD morning. We are here to provide any information on incidents that might crop up throughout the rush hour period this morning on our Black Country and North Worcestershire roads.
So far the roads across the area are very busy, with the snow playing its part to cause delays.
There is slow traffic on A456 Manor Way eastbound in Halesowen at A459 Grange Road Roundabout, as well as on A458 Stourbridge Road and Drews Holloway around Belle Vale.
Traffic is heavy in Quarry Bank on Merry Hill around Mount Pleasant, as it is in Blackheath on Henderson Way and High Street between Birmingham Road and Powke Lane.
Kidderminster’s A456 St Marys Ringway has heavy traffic both eastbound and westbound between A442 Proud Cross Ringway / Chapel Street and A451 The Ringway / Coventry Street.
There are areas of planned roadworks which are causing delays, they include:
Speed restriction of 30 mph and one lane closed due to major roadworks and contraflow on M5 both ways between J1 (West Bromwich / Birmingham) and J2 (Oldbury). Work on the Oldbury Viaduct means that all traffic is sharing one side of the road as a contraflow.
One lane is closed due to roadworks on M5 northbound between J4 A38 (Bromsgrove / Stourbridge) and Frankley Services, while there are speed restriction of 20 mph in Pensnett due to roadworks and temporary traffic lights on A4101 High Street at High Oak.
Temporary traffic lights and roadworks are in place in Stourport on A451 Minster Road both ways near Windermere Way near to Stourport High School.
There are speed restriction of 40 mph due to roadworks on A38 southbound in Lickey between M5 J4 (Bromsgrove / Stourbridge) and Barley Mow Lane, while there is speed restriction of 30 mph due to roadworks on A38 Stoke Road westbound in Stoke Heath between Sherwood Road and B4094 Worcester Road in Stoke Heath.
Elsewhere in Kidderminster, one is lane closed due to roadworks on A451 The Ringway northbound at A448 Comberton Hill / Oxford Street / Green Street so expect delays. Roadworks on the Ring Road going down the hill towards the island at the bottom of Station Hill.
In Oldbury there are roadworks and temporary traffic lights on Mallin Street between A457 Oldbury Road / A4031 Spon Lane South and B4169 St Paul's Road / West Park Road.
