A SINGER paid a visit to Heathfield Knoll School in Wolverley to deliver a message of strength and resilience as part of his anti-bullying school tour.

Asher Knight, who has just released his first single Hurricanes and Tornadoes, performed to both primary and secondary students and spoke about his own experiences of child bullying.

The 21-year-old, from Bradford, said: “Bullying comes in many forms; physical, verbal and social media.

“Through music I found the courage to overcome bullying. Now I want to share with others that they can also stand up to bullying by finding their own strength and resilience.

“It’s safe to say we blew the roof off Kidderminster and I know the students had as much fun as I did.”

Asher has taken his tour, which is run in partnership with the charity Barnardo’s, to nearly 10,000 students in schools across the country.

Headteacher at Heathfield Knoll School, Lawrence Collins, said: “Asher and all of his team were full of so much positive energy and enthusiasm.

“It was certainly an exciting end to another busy half-term at HKS.

“Asher's story of how he managed to overcome bullying is inspirational and all of the students benefited from listening to his music and his powerful words.”
