A KIND-hearted Far Forest boy had his long flowing locks cut off for the second time to help children with cancer.

Evan Gillam, who is aged 10, wanted to support youngsters suffering from the disease and who have lost their hair.

The Far Forest School pupil had seen other people perform similar selfless acts and decided to do his bit for the Little Princess Trust charity.

As well as donating his long locks to be turned into real hair wigs, he is aiming to raise £100 to donate to the charity. To date, he has raised £80 of his target.

His proud mum Sally said this was actually the second time he had done this, having read about the charity in The Shuttle.

Evan said: “I had really long hair and decided to have it cut off because I want children with cancer to have real wigs.”

Sally added: “This is actually the second time he has done it. I think he saw somebody in the Shuttle that had done it previously and I said you could do that with your hair. But then he decided he wanted to do it again.

“We are incredibly proud of Evan for wanting to donate his hair. He does like to help.”
