DUDLEY will be hosting the national final of the Lions Club International's Young Ambassador competition this weekend.

Twelve youngsters aged between 15 to 18 will be vying for the top title at the Village Hotel, Castlegate Drive.

The finalists will come from across the UK, including Jersey and Scarborough, will face a panel of judges on Saturday (February 24) and give presentations on Sunday (February 25), before it is decided who should receive £1,000 to help continue their good work.

The Mayor of Dudley, Councillor Dave Tyler, will also be in attendance, presenting the finalists with certificates to recognise their achievements.

The overall winner will go through to the European final in Skopje, Macedonia.
