THE trial of a man accused of murdering a Brierley Hill father-of-two was delayed after the jury was dismissed.

Niron Parker-Lee, aged 20 and of no fixed address, has pleaded not guilty to murdering 24-year-old Mansoor Mahmood, who was stabbed outside Dixie Chicken in Brierley Hill High Street on October 15, 2016.

JOBS are under threat at Homebase in Oldbury after the DIY chain's owner launched a review of the business, which may see up to 40 stores shut.

Nearly 2,000 staff could be axed after Wesfarmers, which owns Homebase’s parent firm Bunnings UK, said trading at the chain has been “poor” as it booked a £454 million impairment charge linked to its acquisition of the retailer.

DOZENS of bikers lined the roads and mourners packed out Redditch Crematorium for the funeral of Carrick Prentice-Underwood.

The community rallied around after tireless fundraisers Rob and Maggie Underwood, of the charity Charlotte and Craig Saving Hearts Foundation, announced the sudden passing of their son Carrick, 19, on Facebook on January 11.
