GOOD morning. We are here to provide any information on incidents that might crop up throughout the rush hour period this morning on our Black Country and North Worcestershire roads.

So far the roads across the area are pretty quiet, but there is heavy traffic in Kingswinford on A491 Wolverhampton Road, Moss Grove and Market Street around Summer Hill from Wall Heath.

In Hagley, traffic is also heavy on A456 Kidderminster Road South between A450 Worcester Road (Hagley) and Station Drive (Blakedown), while the A457 Dudley Road East in Oldbury is busy around Roway Lane and Brades Road.

There is also the usual congestion at the Burnt Tree traffic lights in Dudley and Birchley Island in Oldbury which is causing delays.

There are areas of planned roadworks which are causing delays, they include:

Speed restriction of 30 mph and one lane closed due to major roadworks and contraflow on M5 both ways between J1 (West Bromwich / Birmingham) and J2 (Oldbury). Work on the Oldbury Viaduct means that all traffic is sharing one side of the road as a contraflow.

There are also speed restriction of 20 mph in Pensnett due to roadworks and temporary traffic lights on A4101 High Street at High Oak.

In Quinton there are roadworks on A456 at M5 J3 (Halesowen / Birmingham) around the motorway island, while in Catshill there are gas main work and temporary traffic lights on B4096 Old Birmingham Road at Linehouse Lane / Braces Lane.

There is also gas main work and temporary traffic lights in place at Castle Road at Westhead Road in Cookley, and in Redditch on A441 between Redditch Road and B4101 Dagnell End Road.

Temporary traffic lights and electricity work is in place in Himley on Bridgnorth Road at School Road / Himley Lane, opposite Windemere House.
