So far the roads across the area are pretty quiet, but traffic is being affected around Alcester Road, Burcott, which is closed both ways due to a burst water main between Pikes Pool Lane and Tutnall Lane / Stoney Lane.

There is also slow traffic slow traffic on A441 Alvechurch Highway in Redditch both ways between Middlehouse Lane / Millrace Road and Dagnell End Road in the roadworks area.

There are also areas of planned roadworks which are causing delays, including:

Speed restriction of 30 mph and one lane closed due to major roadworks and contraflow on M5 both ways between J1 (West Bromwich / Birmingham) and J2 (Oldbury). Work on the Oldbury Viaduct means that all traffic is sharing one side of the road as a contraflow.

Roadworks and temporary traffic lights on A441 Birmingham Road in Redditch are causing delays both ways at B4101 Dagnell End Road at the roundabout development.

There are also delays due to roadworks and temporary traffic lights on B4171 Dudley Road in Rowley Regis between Portway Road and Springfield Lane, as well as on A4100 Highgate Street at Wright's Lane, Cradley Heath.

While delays should be expected due to temporary traffic lights and electricity work on A4100 Forge Lane in Cradley Heath at Chester Road/Woods Lane until September 5.
