MORE than 100 food and drink stalls will be on show at the Droitwich Spa Food and Drink Festival.

The festival, on Saturday takes place at Lido Park.

There will be entertainment in the main bandstand all day, a sit down area to enjoy food, drink and music and demonstration cookery theatre featuring chef Brian Turner.

Mr Turner will officially open the festival together with Nigel Huddleston MP on Saturday morning at 10am along with meeting and greeting festival goers.

Nearly 90 percent of products are produced within a 30 mile radius of Droitwich Spa.

During the day the winners of the bake off competition for both children and adults will be announced as well as the best sausage competition.

The entertainment in the bandstand features local singers, bands and choirs.

Local chefs and food producers will give demonstrations on a range of food dishes and visitors can try their hand at making a pork pie with the help of Stephen Hallam, an award winning Melton Mowbray Pork Pie maker.

This year the festival has a special area for children’s entertainment and the majority of it is free.

Jumping Jimmies bouncy castle and games, circus games, face painting and a smoothie bike will all be fun options for children.

The Droitwich Spa Food and Drink Festival is run by a committee of volunteer representatives and is supported by Wychavon District Council and Droitwich Town Council and local businesses.
