WELL we've made it to Friday afternoon, one one piece, hopefully!

Well, it looks like the bikinis and bathing suits will not be making an appearance because this weekend will be cold.

Very cold, long johns and thermal vests weather no less.

But will you be getting home in time for dinner, or will it be in the dog.

The trains seem to be running without delays but if you are planning to park at Barnt Green railway station then make other plans.

The Midland Metro is running without delays too.

This afternoon one of the ugly sisters of the Black Country road network, Birchley Island (the other being Burnt Tree Island) has reared her ugly head.

There have been delays in Tividale on A4123 Wolverhampton Road, but in the last hour have cleared towards Birchley Island in Oldbury.

However, there are delays in Wednesbury on A461 Wood Green Road heading out of town through roadworks at the M6.

It would not be Friday afternoon without an accident on the M5.

There has been accident on the M5 northbound blocking two lanes between J8 M50 and J7 Evesham.

Update 5:50pm: We have snow falling across the region so drive carefully.

There has been an accident in Broome on A450 Stourbridge Road partially blocking road at Belbroughton Road.

And there are delays in Wolverley on Wolverley Road through roadworks at Lea Lane.

If you are heading into Birmingham beware that a building fire in Edgbaston on City Road means the road is closed between Portland Road and Ravenshaw Road, meaning delays around the area including Hagley Road.
