It will be a sunny start in parts across the region, although it will also be rather windy. However, cloud will begin to increase from the east through the morning, where temperatures will be around the 16°C mark.
Forecasts are predicting prolonged rainfall during the afternoon, which could be heavy or thundery in some parts, and with the southerly winds of about 18mph, the temperature continue at about 16°C.
The rain will continue into the evening, though it will be turning lighter and patchier, and with the winds remaining fairly strong, minimum temperatures should be around 11°C.
