MUSICAL storytelling will bring to life ancient and atmospheric folk tales of love and loss, horror and humour.

The Forbidden Door promises to be a spellbinding treat when performed at Bishops Wood Centre, Crossway Green, Stourport on Thursday, April 14.

The performance begins at 7.30pm, bringing together

acclaimed storyteller Dominic Kelly and musicians the Devil’s Violin Company who promise to breathe new life into half-forgotten ancient tales.

Mr Kelly and three skilled musicians (cello, fiddle and guitar) will recount tales of love, loss, drama, danger, horror and humour.

John Rhymer, secretary of Friends of Bishops Wood, said: “We are thrilled that The Devils Violin Company have agreed to return to Bishops Wood to perform their new show.

"Dominic Kelly is new to the company but no stranger to Bishops Wood. He has performed at the centre as part of the Pandvani 108 line-up."

Tickets are £10. Concessions (under 16, OAPs and members of FOBW) are £8.

Booking is essential.
