A KINGSWINFORD mum has told of the terrifying moment she had to drag her two young children to safety after her Vauxhall Zafira burst into flames.
Tara Casey, aged 27, told the News she had been driving along Pensnett Road, Brierley Hill, near the Dell Stadium, this morning (Monday) when she spotted smoke emanating from the glovebox of the car which she and her partner Jamie say they only bought six months ago.

DETECTIVES have arrested a man in suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving following an incident in Kidderminster at the weekend.
A 42-year-old from Stourport is being quizzed by police in connection with the death of Jason Westcott.
Mr Westcott, aged 22 from Kidderminster was discovered unconscious in the road on the A451 Ringway between the bus depot Island and Comberton Hill Island at just after 5am.

AN INSPIRATIONAL Halesowen schoolboy who suffers from a rare strain of epilepsy has raised over £2,000 for charity by completed a sponsored swim.
Izak Guy, aged 11, swam over 3,000km in under two hours at Halesowen Leisure Centre this weekend.
The £2,076 raised by Izak is going to the charity Young Epilepsy as he suffers from seizures almost every day.

POLICE are still looking for a missing teen they believe could be in the Dudley area.
Charlotte Nicholls, aged 14, failed to return home from school on Friday (November 13).
The youngster, from Woodcross, Coseley, is described as five foot tall with dark brown hair.

THIS Christmas audiences at the Artrix in Bromsgrove will be able to catch the adventures of Dick Whittington as local theatre company All & Sundry brings the traditional family show to the space.
Featuring dancers from the Stage Door Dance Academy, the show tells the tale of Dick Whittington, who arrives in London penniless with his trusty cat, and has to take on the dastardly King Rat and his hordes of rats, who are planning to take over the city.
