Two knifepoint robberies took place within the Stourbridge area over the weekend, the Stourbridge News reports.

An 18-year-old was threatened with a knife and assaulted in Kinver - while in an incident that could be related, a Wollaston man was the victim of an armed robbery.

Meanwhile, the Redditch Advertiser reports police are investigating a "frightening attack" where a masked gang attacked a man in his 30s and a teenage boy in a Woodrow estate.

Both were injured, and during the attack the older man's wallet was stolen.

A worried Stourport grandmother fears someone could be killed on her street following an incident which saw a van crash into her house.

Janette Rees, who lives in Gilgal, the A4025, was at home when the white Ford van struck her property. Her grandchild slept in the room directly above.

The Droitwich Advertiser reports crowds in their thousands attended Salwarpe Village Fete, with three new attractions on offer to entertain them.

Droitwich Community Choir made its first public appearance with 45 singers performing together, while Worcester Ukelele Band also made its debut, and dog trainer Pauline Whitakker demonstrated walking-to-heel music.
