ANYONE interested in finding out more about ancient buildings along High Street and Friar Street in Droitwich can join a guided walk being organised by the Historic Droitwich group.
The walk, which is taking place on Thursday, August 13, is being led by Rob Hedge from the county archaeology unit, who will be talking about the context of various buildings within the Saxon, medieval, and post-medieval periods in Droitwich’s history.
The walk will take in the industrial nature of the town, with some detailed information about the key timber-framed buildings in the town.
The walk will start from 7pm outside the hop Pole Inn in Friar Street, and is free of charge. To book a place, contact Caroline Morris on 01527 861045.
