A STUDENT at St Peter’s CEVA First School in Droitwich won a prize of £150 for the school before she left, with her entry in a drawing and colouring competition.
Eight-year-old Emilie Cartelet, took first prize in the contest, organised by a local home and garden centre to celebrate the rose, by drawing her own roses, bagging £150 for the school to spend on its own gardening projects.
Class teacher and eco school coordinator Catherine Baldwin thanked Emilie for leaving the school with the gift. She said: “The staff and I have been having a chat and it is likely we will be putting this fantastic prize money towards developing further our ‘Sensory Garden’, an extra special sanctuary for our children to admire and enjoy.”
