THE mother of music mogul Simon Cowell has died at the age of 89.

Julie Cowell’s family said they were heartbroken and would “miss her terribly”.

Apparently, you don’t need to be a young influential pop star waging a war with streaming service providers to get to the top spot on the Official Albums Chart.

All you need to do is turn up at Glastonbury – and Lionel Richie & The Commodores’s The Definitive Collection stormed to number one after a triumphant set on the Pyramid Stage last weekend.

The album, which previously reached number 10 on its release in 2003, jumped 103 positions this week. The feat also marked Richie’s first UK number one album since Back to Front, 23 years ago.

Terminator wouldn’t be the same without Arnold Schwarzenegger with his futuristic leather gear, trademark shades and blazing guns.

And it seems the great man himself was glad he wasn’t “switched out” for another actor, saying he was “honoured” to play Terminator again.

The 67-year-old plays the title role in Terminator Genisys, which is currently in cinemas.

Actress Kate Ford, best known for her role as Corrie’s Tracy Barlow, has spoken about her late co-star Anne Kirkbride.

Viewers will soon see the cast bid farewell to Anne’s character, Deirdre.

Kate spoke about filming Deirdre’s funeral scenes, saying: “It was very difficult, and emotional at times, but I tried to keep things as separate as I could because it was too painful if not.”
