THE M5 has been closed northbound between J2 for A4123 (Oldbury) and J1 for A41 (West Bromwich) following a collision.
The closure has caused stationary traffic and long delays northbound between the two junctions following an incident involving two cars and a lorry.
Diversions are in operation - take the Northbound A4034 (Churchbridge) into Oldbury Town centre, before joining the A457 Oldbury Ringway, Birmingham Rd, and the Northbound A4252 (Telford Way) back around to the M5 at J1.
Travel time is around 50 minutes with the congestion heading back to Frankley Services.
Motorists have been advised to avoid the area.
