STUDENTS at Droitwich Spa High School have been learning about the popular English tradition of a proper afternoon tea.
The 30 year 10 pupils, who are all studying for a GCSE in catering, have just paid visits to both Eckington Manor and Fishmore Hall in Ludlow.
To further their knowledge of high society, the students will be visiting St Andrew’s Hotel in Droitwich for a special afternoon tea, where they will also be learning what it takes to create the perfect tea time experience, before heading back to the school to create their own in the catering kitchen.
Catering teacher Laura Morrall, said: "As part of their catering exam, students have to make afternoon tea for two people, comprised of four baked items, one of which must be savoury. The students are going to St Andrew's so they can have the experience first-hand and research the range of items offered, portion control, presentation, and service."
