POLICE are warning residents not to approach a Droitwich man, who is wanted for questioning, but to contact them immediately instead.

35-year-old John Rowberry is currently wanted for questioning by West Mercia Police in relation to a number of offences related to thefts from shops, and they have issued an appeal for information regarding his whereabouts.

Detective inspector Stuart Murphy of Worcester Proactive CID, said: "We need to speak to Mr Rowberry and we are actively trying to locate him. He is known in and around the Droitwich area but has also been known to frequent Worcester, Malvern, Bromsgrove, Redditch and Kidderminster. If anyone knows of his whereabouts we would ask that they get in touch please. Do not approach this man but contact the police immediately."

Anyone who has seen Mr Rowberry, or had any relevant information about where he might be, is asked to contact the Worcester duty inspector via the non-emergency number 101, quoting incident no.0391s of April 19, 2015.
