POLICE in Droitwich are appealing for information after the driver of a van left in a hotel car park overnight in Sytchampton, returned to their vehicle to discover a huge hole had been cut into its roof.
The incident occurred when two white Ford Transit vans were left parked overnight in the car park of The Old Leaking Well in Sytchampton.
At some point between 7pm on Tuesday, March 24 and 7am on Wednesday, March 25, the vehicles, both of which were owned by the same company, were both tampered with.
One suffered damaged to a side sliding door, while offenders managed to cut a hole in the roof of the other van measuring 1ft by 2ft.
The thieves then stole a number of tools from one of the van, which have been valued at something between £2,000 and £3,000.
Anyone who might have witnessed anyone acting suspiciously around vehicles in the car park, is asked to contact Droitwich Police on the non-emergency number 101 quoting incident no. 0040S 250315.
