STAFF at Hampton Lovett based accountancy firm Ballard Dale Syree Watson LLP have helped raised more than £2,000 for St Richard’s Hospice as part of a bowling tournament, and they even managed to come away as winners.
The Sutcliffe Charity Bowling Cup, which is organised by Sutcliffe’s Insurance every year, attracted more than 30 team of bowlers.
The Droitwich firm won the trophy last year as well, so they were celebrating their second win in a row.
Ballard’s team captain, Andrew Jenks said: “It’s a really good way to meet up with other businesses, have a good night out and also raise some money for local charities. Although we’re really proud to have retained the trophy, the number of teams attending is growing year on year and so next year it could be a different story.”
Ballard’s business development director, Steven Jones, said: “The event raised over £2,000 for charity. Duncan and his team at Sutcliffes should be really proud but they need to put in a bit of practice if they want to beat our boys.”
