STAFF and pupils at Dodderhill independent girls’ school in Droitwich are celebrating after the school was ranked top of the county in the recently published league tables.

The school was named as the best in Worcestershire for its GCSE results in the tables which were published on Thursday, January 29, with 92 per cent of pupils achieving five or more A Levels at grades A*-C including English and maths.

Headteacher Cate Mawston, said: “This is a fantastic result for Dodderhill. I am very proud of all of the girls that have contributed to this wonderful result.

“Dodderhill is deliberately small because it values the uniqueness of every individual child. It offers a bespoke education with excellent academic achievement – Dodderhill’s exam results are consistently amongst the best in Worcestershire.

“At Dodderhill we adapt our curriculum to meet the needs of our pupils, not the other way around. This ensures everyone is challenged, stretched and stimulated at the appropriate level. It is not unusual for girls to take AS examinations with their GCSEs.”
