MORE than 240 people packed themselves into the Sacred Heart Church in Droitwich recently for a special service organised as part of the St Richard’s Hospice Lights of Love campaign.

People attending the service took time for quiet reflection to remember someone special to them, before enjoying performances from the Dodderhill Choir and St Richard’s Singers, a choir made up of staff and volunteers at the hospice.

The names of people’s loved ones are being displayed on boards in Droitwich Library, as well as around a tree in St Andrew's Spire, Worcester, in a book of thanksgiving placed in Worcester Cathedral and at the Priory in Malvern.More than 2,500 names have been dedicated so far, raising over £44,000 for the charity.

St Richard’s Hospice senior community fundraiser Alison Parkes, said: “The services were very moving and appreciated by so many people. We are very grateful to all those who all those who have made such generous donations and dedicated a light in memory.
