FOR the unusual chance to hear music from as far back as the 13th century, Droitwich Concert Club is playing host to an ‘early music’ group this Saturday.
Midlands based K’antu have featured on BBC Radio 3's Late Junction, BBCWM's Introducing, Resonance FM's LSO Soundhub and have performed as In Tune's house band at the Southbank Centre.
They perform a mixture of songs and instrumental music from Europe and South America written between the 13th and 18th centuries, in a energetic combination of folk and world music.
They’re name refers to an ancient style of Peruvian and Bolivian music and dance.
The concert is taking place on Saturday, November 22 at Droitwich Methodist Church on Worcester Road from 7.30pm. Tickets are £15 for adults and £5 for under 17s. They can be booked in advance on 01905 779736 or people can purchase them on the door.
