CHILDREN and staff at Chawson First School dressed up as their own personal heroes and favourite superheroes on Friday to raise money for Children in Need.
The youngsters each paid £1 to come to school dressed as everything from Disney Frozen princesses and Spiderman to doctors and nurses, and even their own parents.
Wade Lingard dressed as Robin Hood. He said: “He is my hero because he gives money to poor people.”
Matty Sharp dressed up as his own father for the day. He added: “I’m dressed as Daddy. He’s my hero.”
Trudi Purser works in the reception class where children were given a presentation about Pudsey Bear and the work done by Children in Need.
She said: “It’s important that they realise why they’re dressed up. There’s a buzz around the school because they’re all interested in why they’re dressed as different people.”
In total the school managed to raise £301 for the charity.
