POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a man attempted to steal a woman’s handbag in Droitwich.
The woman, 47, was approached by a man who brushed against her as he walked past.
He then grabbed her handbag and attempted to pull it off her. She retaliated and kept hold of it before running off.
The offender is described as white, five foot nine inches, slim build, scruffy mid length brown hair with grey patches, unshaven, piercing blue eyes and had brown teeth.
The incident happened on Wednesday, October22 at around 8.55am in Worcester Road, near to the allotments.
Police urge anyone who witnessed the incident, or who saw a man of this description in the area, to contact them on 101, quoting incident 557S of Wednesday 22 October.
