MEN who are keen to learn to sing in the Droitwich area are being invited to head along to a Learn to sing course being run by Worcestershire barbershop singers Vale Harmony.

Vale Harmony is running the final in a series of singing courses next Wednesday, October 15 at its rehearsal venue in Fladbury Village Hall.

Chairman Ian Fothergill, who is from Droitwich, is sure singers will be able to sing after the short course.

Speaking about the last class run by the group he said: “They achieved excellent results after just one and a half hours. They had been able to identify whether they had tenor, lead, baritone or bass voices, they mastered parts of four songs and joined in with one of barbershoppers' classic songs ‘Heart of My Heart’.”

The Learn to Sing course is free and is organised as part of a national initiative by the music education charity Harmony Foundation with the idea of encouraging more men to sing.

Anyone who would like to take part in the course next Wednesday, should contact Colin Pemberton from Vale Harmony on 01386 792549, or just arrive at Fladbury Village Hall at 7.45pm. For more details, visit valeharmony.co.uk.
