A DROITWICH woman is appealing for help to solve a mystery after she discovered a lost wedding photograph inside a chest of drawers.

Kath Adams had bought the pine chest of drawers from the shop ‘Second to None’ on Friar Street in the town centre, which has since closed down.

The shop accepted donations as well as buying items from members of the public and the drawers were not very old, sporting four large drawers and two small ones at the top.

Mrs Adams bought the chest of drawers for her grandson to store his clothes, but when she pulled the drawers out recently she found a large print of a mystery wedding photograph at the bottom of the unit.

She said: “I just thought ‘Oh my gosh somebody hasn’t realised that’s in there’. They could have descendants or grandchildren, that could be the only photo, and I couldn’t bring myself to put it in the bin. I don’t know what to do with it.”

The photograph, which has been colourised, shows a wedding from what looks to be the 1950s or 1960s with a happy brunette bride and groom, slightly out of focus. It is mounted onto a piece of cream card with a pencil line drawn around the photograph.

Anyone who thinks they might recognise the photograph, and be able to rescue it and solve its mystery, can contact Mrs Adams by writing to kathadams49@yahoo.co.uk.
