A BROMSGROVE-based healthcare products supplier has published a new book as part of a series of challenges.

Kimal aims to use its 50th anniversary to raise money for Make-A-Wish Foundation UK, a charity that grants wishes to children and young people aged three to 17 fighting life-threatening conditions.

The firm has launched a fundraising campaign, Challenge 50.

One of the events is the publication of a book entitled 12: What would you say to a 12 year old you?

The book features the firm's employees' letters to themselves as a 12-year-old offering words and advice for the coming years.

It has been compiled by some of the employees in Bromsgrove and Droitwich, and was organised by Steve Minett who remembered reading a series of letters that celebrities wrote to a younger version of themselves.

Steve, who has also contributed to the book, said: "The letter writing process began a very personal journey for me as I managed to get closure from areas I hadn’t thought I would ever be able to put to bed and brought back some great memories from my childhood that I had all but forgotten about."

Steve thanked fellow contributors Yasir Khan, Bridget Brooks, Rebekah Vine, Catherine Bennett and Olivia Bramwell, particularly as it can be "such a personal thing to do".

The book is available on the Kindle store, priced at £3.09, at amazon.co.uk. All proceeds go to the charity.
