A DROITWICH day care centre is holding a charity sale this weekend with everything on offer from children’s games and toys to ladies clothing, books and bric-a-brac.

The sale is taking place at Westmead Day Care Centre on Saturday, September 13 from 10am to noon, and there will also be refreshments and cake on offer for people who want to sit down and have a chat.

Money raised from the event will be put towards the Droitwich Stroke Club, which runs a social club for people dealing with the after effects of a stroke.

Jacqui Brown, manager of the centre, said: “Our day care service is a real lifeline for many local people, so we are proud to be helping a Droitwich charity to support people in our town.”

Westmead Day Care Centre, which is next to Westmead Residential Care Home on Westmead Close, runs weekday sessions where people can come along to meet friends or take up a new hobby. It also serves hot lunches and provides transport.
