DROITWICH residents are being informed waste collections will remain unchanged over the Bank Holiday weekend.

The refuse, recycling, garden and commercial waste collections, are all unaffected during the weekend.

For anyone having a clear out, Wychavon District Council is also using the opportunity to remind residents about its bulky waste collection service, where up to two items can be collected for £19.

Garden waste can be home composted, or alternatively a garden waste bin service, collecting green waste once a fortnight, is available for £43.

Sharon Casswell, client services manager at Wychavon said: “Over the summer residents might have found a bit of time to have a clear out and this is where our great value bulky waste collection services comes in.

"They might also be overflowing with grass cuttings and have got fed up of driving their garden waste to the tip to be composted.”

For more details and to book a collection, residents can call 01386 760145 between 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday.
