A MALVERN business has helped mark the launch of a new social enterprise in the town by entering its photographs in a local competition.
The images have been put on display by Waller and Waller Opticians in Edith Walk as part of the Malvern in Bloom shop front competition.
The prints, which show a number of famous Malvern views, were captured and created by Shuttersphere, a new social enterprise established by local amateur photographer, John Wynn. The company is aiming to raise money and awareness for a number of charities in the UK and further afield.
All profits from the sale of Shuttersphere’s Worcestershire photographs will go to St Richard’s Hospice, which provides free specialist palliative care for patients living with cancer and other life-threatening illnesses.
Deborah Croxford, co-owner of Waller and Waller, explained: “We wanted to help John show his wonderful photos and when the Malvern in Bloom competition came up we thought, ‘Let's put them in the window and show them off’. We think it’s wonderful the profits are going to support St Richards."
Mr Wynn, who founded Shuttersphere, added: "We really appreciate the support from such a highly regarded local business. The display is in a busy area of town and has been a great place to showcase our photos. We’ve been really happy with the feedback we have had."
