IT’S chocks away for the Norbury Theatre in Droitwich with a new production of spy comedy thriller ‘The 39 Steps’.

The play, which has recently toured the UK and won awards in the West End, is being brought to the Norbury with clever stage trickery and a lot of imagination, with the crew already hard at work making some of the more creative props.

Four actors will be playing dozens of characters in the sweeping tale which follows Richard Hannay, a man in the wrong place at the wrong time, as he travels across wartime England and Scotland, dodging the police, chased by a German spy, and constantly coming up against a mysterious and devastatingly beautiful woman, as he attempts to uncover the significance of the 39 Steps and acquit himself of murder.

The production is coming to the Norbury from Wednesday, September 10 to Saturday, September 13, and from Wednesday, September 17 to Saturday, September 20. Tickets are £10 and can be booked through the Norbury’s box office on 01905 770154 or by visiting norburytheatre.co.uk.
