NATURE will hopefully be providing some inspiration for a textile art workshop being held at Lower Smite Farm next weekend.
Textile designer and lecturer, Sophie Case, is running the workshop, which will be giving textile artists the chance to take their inspiration from the wildlife garden and farm at the Worcestershire Wildlife Trust Headquarters.
Peter Case, engagement officer for the trust, said: “This is a great opportunity for people to learn new skills and get creative in a beautiful environment.
“Sophie will help participants learn how to print designs onto fabric using a stencil method, which is perfect for beginners. People will learn how to create stencils from scratch and use permanent printing ink to create fabulous personalised cotton tote bags and tea towels to take away and keep.”
The workshop will be taking place on Saturday, August 2 from 10am-3pm. Places are £50 per person, which includes all materials, lunch and refreshments.
Booking is essential as places are strictly limited. For more information visit worcswildlifetrust.co.uk.
