FOR those who thought the musical element of the Droitwich Spa Festival was over and done with, there another chance to enjoy some live music this weekend with a national event, which is spreading to St Andrew’s Shopping Centre.

The Big Gig is a country-wide celebration of local music at community events, and a chance to showcase new talent, giving people a chance to have a go at making music, and Councillor Pam Davey, chairman of Worcestershire County Council, approached the festival organisers to see if they would be wiling to bring the live music elenment of the festival back to join in with it this Saturday, July 12.

Last summer, more than 200,000 people attended Big Gig events around the country, seeing a wide variety of musical activities take place in all kinds of places from schools and skate parks, to beaches and boats.
