IT’S time for some summer fun at Ombersley Endowed First School, as the staff, parents and pupils get ready for the school’s summer fair on Saturday, July 5 from 12-3pm.
Children from the school will be performing their traditional dance around the maypole, something which they have done every year since the school opened in 1876.
There will also be a number of 'Olde English' style activities including a tug of war, welly wanging, a tombola, skittles, tin can alley and hook a duck.
People will be able to enjoy pony rides, competitions, face-painting, and a bouncy castle, as well as a range of refreshments including tea and cakes available throughout the afternoon, and a barbecue.
Headteacher, Caroline Moore said: “Our summer fair is always a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon. It’s a lovely way to mingle and have fun with other friends and families and raises much needed funds for our school. We hope you will be able to join us.”
Entry to the summer fair is £1 for adults, which includes a lucky programme, and free for children. The fair is organised by the Friends of Ombersley School, and all money raised will be going towards additional resources for the school.
