A 40-YEAR-old man has been arrested in Droitwich on suspicion of assault after a man was stabbed in the town earlier this week.
The incident occurred on Thursday, June 12 at approximately 5.10pm outside a flat on Albert Street.
The suspect had been staying with an acquaintance at the flat, a 37-year-old man for several days, and according to police, when he was told he was no longer welcome, there was an altercation and the 37-year-old sustained a puncture wound to his left thigh and a laceration to his right thigh from a kitchen knife. He also sustained minor injuries to a finger.
The victim was taken to the Royal Worcestershire Hospital where he was given a tetanus jab and his wound was stitched.
The suspect was taken into custody and has been arrested on suspicion of assault.
