CUSTOMERS at the restaurant of a Droitwich Golf Club will soon be having their meals prepared by the former private chef of Sir Richard Branson.
Trevor Nicely, who has worked for four years as chef to Sir Richard and his family at the Virgin entrepreneur's Necker Island home, is now designing his own menu at Gaudet Luce Golf Club’s new £175,000 restaurant.
Mr Nicely has 30 years experience in the industry, working in five-star restaurants in London and the Caribbean, but his new menu will be far more locally sourced, with meat and fish coming from Checketts in Ombersley.
Alec Fernihough, operations directors at Gaudet Luce, said: “Trevor, and the rest of our restaurant team will play a key role in making Gaudet Luce more than just a place that’s great for golf. We want to be known for our food and hospitality too.”
