DROITWICH residents are being reminded that they have until the end of the month to sign up for a new scheme with the potential to save them money on electricity bills.

People are being asked to voluntarily sign up for the scheme, which is being created in hopes of helping people secure a better deal on their household bills by teaming up with other people in the same area, and collectively switching their energy provider.

The scheme is being run by the company ichoosr with support from Wychavon District Council, and residents are being asked to register their interest before Monday, June 9 if they want to get involved.

Councillor Audrey Steel said: “This scheme offers a great opportunity for our residents, their friends and family to potentially make valuable savings on their energy bills. The power really rests with the people, as the more residents who sign up for the scheme, the more bargaining power ichoosr will have with the energy companies when it comes to agreeing a price for gas or electricity.”
