STAFF at the Blue Cross charity shop in Droitwich are going back to the 1940s as a theme for their stylish fundraising tea party.

The party is being held on Saturday, May 10 from 10am to 4pm at the shop on St Andrew’s Street, and there will be fun to be had with homemade baked treats, a tombola and a special prize draw.

Nicky Carr, Blue Cross shop manager in Droitwich, said: “What easier way to help needy pets than by enjoying a slice of cake? You might even find some tea party accessories in the shop for your own tea party – perhaps a pretty vintage table cloth or teapot. Every cake we sell means Blue Cross hospitals and rehoming centres can help even more needy pets - it’s the ‘purr-fect’ excuse to spoil yourself.”

All the proceeds from the tea party will be going towards the charity’s work with sick and homeless pets.

For more information call the shop on 01905 795316, or visit bluecross.org.uk/teaparty to find out more about hosting a tea party for the charity.
