REGISTERED voters in Droitwich have received their polling cards for the upcoming European elections on Thursday, May 22.

People are being asked to check whether their card has been delivered, to ensure their don’t lose their right to vote.

Polling cards have been sent to everyone on the electoral register telling them where their nearest polling station is, and giving them important information about the elections.

People will have the option of voting for seven West Midlands MEPs to represent them in the European Parliament.

MEPs scrutinise proposed European laws and the budget of the European Union, and also provide oversight of its other decision-making bodies.

Potential voters have until Tuesday, May 6 to be added to the register, or they will not be able to legally vote. Unregistered voters need to contact Wychavon District Council on 01386 565437 or write to elections@wychavon.gov.uk.
