KEEN artists are being invited to come along and join in with the creation of the latest community mural for 2014.
When completed, the mural will be seen form Vines Park from May to October, and in previous years, everyone from toddlers to pensioners, has got involved with the epic task of painting the public art work.
This year the design for the mural has been created by students from Droitwich Spa High School, and painting is taking place in the old carpet shop on the corner of St Andrew’s Street and the entrance to the shopping centre.
Water based paints will be being used, and painters will be provided with gloves and aprons to minimise mess, but it’s advised to wear something that people don’t mind getting paint on.
The community painting session is taking place from 10am to 5pm on Saturday, April 12, painting all of the 4’x8’ and 4’x6’ panels as well as raising money for St Richard’s Hospice.
The finished mural will then be put up on public display on May 3 as part of the St Richard’s Festival in the town.
To join in with the painting, just head along on the day. Everyone is welcome.
