THIEVES stole a brand new trailer worth more than a thousand pounds from a village garden outside Droitwich, after first breaking down a fence to gain access to it.
The offenders destroyed 12ft of wooden fencing, as well as an apple tree at the property in the village of Doverdale just off the A449 north of Droitwich, wheeling the trailer through the garden, before hitching it up to their own vehicle and driving away.
The incident occurred at 11.35pm on Saturday, March 8 and was caught on CCTV. Police are investigating the footage, but they would like to hear from anyone who may have witnessed suspicious activity in the area, or seen the trailer, a 8’x5’ Paxton single axle trailer in galvanised metal with a cage on top registration VE61 HZH.
The trailer is brand new, and thought to be worth £1,175.
Anyone with information should contact the police on the non-emergency number 101 quoting incident no. 237s090314, or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
