DROITWICH residents are being asked to suggest sites suitable for new housing developments.
A formal call has been issued for suggestions as part of the preparation work for the South Worcestershire Development Plan, and individuals, public bodies and developers are all being asked to name potentially suitable sites.
The housing requirement in the plan as it currently stands, is likely to increase from the current 23,200 in line with the Government’s new National Planning Policy Guidance, which came into force on March 6.
Any sites proposed from the exercise must be supported by Wychavon, Malvern Hills and Worcester City councils, before going through a public consultation, and then being submitted to the Planning Inspectorate
Anyone wishing to propose a site, should visit swdevelopmentplan.org/ for more details.
Sites must be proposed by 5pm on Wednesday, April 2.
