THE Droitwich Spa south west area is about to be visited as part of Wychavon District Council’s ‘Connecting with Communites’ scheme.

Councillor Tom Noyes will be visiting the town on Monday, March 24 to speak to residents and businesses about any concerns they may have.

From 10-11.15am he will be at the Spa Convenience Store on Oakland Avenue to meet local residents, before moving on to Blue Giraffe Childcare from 11.30-12noon to meet with businesses. In the afternoon he will be at St Andrew’s Town Hotel from 12.15-1.15pm for another business meeting, and he’s hping to fit in a final business meeting before the end of the day.

He said: “I have been kept busy on many projects in my role as mayor of Droitwich Spa – flooding, planning, and the brine baths – all of which affect the town but not my local ward directly. So this event is a great opportunity for me to get out and about to speak with my constituents. I’m looking forward to meeting as many people and businesses as possible.

“We’ve been very active in Droitwich in recent years. We’ve supported the boxing club with £80,000 of New Homes Bonus funding and have run multi-sport sessions at Chawson First School and Witton Middle School. We’ve also supported World Sports Day, many musical and art workshops and housed over 450 families in need. But there’s always more to do, and by speaking to the people and businesses in my ward I hope to find out what else we can do to support them.”
