A WORCESTERSHIRE woman says she is devastated after losing her wedding ring more than 50 years after getting married.
Jean Miles, of Drakes Broughton, lost the simple gold wedding band on Tuesday, March 4, and is hoping someone may have found the ring.
The 68-year-old spent the day in her home village visiting the Post Office and also went shopping in Broad Street, Pershore.
She said: "I really don't know where I lost it. I went to the shop and I went to Pershore. I didn't notice it was missing until later in the evening. I just hope someone will return it. It would be lovely if they would. It has so much sentimental value to me."
Mrs Miles has been wearing the ring since she wed her husband Michael Miles on March 30, 1963.
"I never take it off. But about three days before I lost my engagement ring in Walsall but I found it in the car.
"After that I put the wedding ring on the outside of the engagement ring to keep it in. But I have lost weight, that is why they have slipped off."
If anyone has any information about the ring they should contact Mrs Miles on 07714475887 or email jeanjeanyes32@hotmail.co.uk.
