DROITWICH police are linking two burglaries in the town after investigating a second burglary, which took place in Dodderhill last week.

The incident occurred at some point between 6pm on Monday, March 3 and 6pm on Tuesday, March 4 when burglars smashed the kitchen window of a property, making an untidy search of the bedrooms, and taking jewellery and a computer.

They stole an Apple MacBook Air laptop with a 13” screen, a lady’s Omega divers watch with a black face, orange bezel and black leather strap, a man’s Chanel J12 chronograph black ceramic watch, a lady’s blue square-cut topaz ring with a 16ct yellow gold band and white gold with diamonds twisted stone setting, and a white gold Cartier nail design ring.

The burglary follows a similar incident in Dodderhill which took place between 2-8pm on Monday, March 3.

Pc Nicky Burgess of Worcester Proactive CID said: “We are linking these burglaries because they both took place in the same part of Droitwich, at similar times and similar items were taken.

“We want to renew our appeal for witness to come forward and anyone who saw or heard any suspicious behaviour in the Dodderhill area of the town from early on Monday afternoon through to the early evening of Tuesday.

“Also, if anyone is offered any of these items, they should contact us immediately on the non emergency number 101 quoting incident number 524s 040314.”

Anyone with information on the earlier incident, can also contact police, quoting incident no. 643s 030314.

Alternatively people can pass on information anonymously via the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or at crimestoppers-uk.org.
