PLANS are well underway for this year’s Droitwich Festival after last year saw the town’s food and drink festival combined with the existing music and arts festival for the first time.

The summertime festival will see events taking place in Droitwich from Friday, June 20 to Sunday, July 6 with the food and drink festival bringing as many as 100 stalls selling produce to line the town’s high street, as well as a demonstration kitchen setting up shop in the town centre featuring five Worcestershire chefs and a cheese and cider festival hosted by the Gardeners Arms.

Throughout the festival there will be everything from live music in the town centre, and literary events, to theatre performances, and jazz and classical concerts to see, as well as a number of art displays and activities, before the festival culminated in the Big Picninc in the Park at the Lido Park on July 6.
