POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a burglar broke into a Droitwich tea room and stole cash from a charity collection box.
The incident occurred at Tea Cups tea room on Gurneys Lane at some point between 3.30pm on Friday, February 28 and 8.35am on Saturday, March 1.
The burglar is thought to have entered the premises by smashing part of a first floor bathroom window, before searching the property, and taking petty cash and the contents of a Marie Curie charity collection box totalling approximately £150.
Pc Laura Tansell said: “We would like to hear from anyone who saw or heard anything suspicious, particularly during the hours of darkness.
“Anyone with information is asked to call the non emergency number 101 quoting incident number 177s 010314.”
